So let me first start off by saying this. Never, never buy a flat screen tv online. They usually do not have the same warranties that in stores do. I usually always buy off Amazon and other online avenues, but I know tv's like these can bite the dust at anytime. I bought mine at Costco because this tv comes with a 3 year warranty and with a 2 year additional warranty for just $30. So I ended up buying this tv for less and have a 5 year warranty. These warranties usually apply at most warehouse and department stores.
Now, on to the actual tv review. I've had this tv for a couple weeks and I have been very pleased. The Neflix app is amazing and comes in HD (which I note because if you are currently using your Playstation or Wii this does not appear in HD). The menus and functionality are awesome too. Oh, and the sound is great too. The sound really packs a punch for such a razor thin tv. Paired with the the HD package I have with my cable company this is just pure heaven while watching tv. I'm giving this a very fair 5 out of 5 because it deserves it.
Again, I do recommend this TV whole heartedly, but please be smart and buy any TV at a reputable vendor that offers a really good warranty. These newer TV's are great but they are notorious for biting the dust. Amazon may be the cheapest but their warranties don't go far. Save yourself the heartbreak later and buy the warranty, and make sure the warranty is backed by a good retailer.

We are very pleased with the picture and the sound. The Vizio's LED backlighting yields excellent color renditions. Skin tones look great too. The motion smoothness is at least as good as other 120 hz sets I've watched. Sports look so much better on this TV than on my 2010 47" Sharp, actually every DirectTV HD channel looks better on this TV than the Sharp.
We are especially happy with the NetFlix interface. We were expecting a crude and basic functionality (like our Sony BluRay player which is just painful to use). We like the Vizio app even better than our Roku HD rig. Much better. Smooth and snappy response to your inputs, scroll through your queue, search, and recommended movies. Takes just a few moments to buffer your selection and you are good to go. NetFlix HD movies look fantastic in LCD/LED. Saved $60-$80 on a second Roku box, and Vizio works better too!
Have not messed around with the Amazon movie app too much, other than setting up access, and that part went very well.
Accessing our WiFi was a piece of cake. Choose your home network and enter your password, you're done. The setup guidance took care of everything.
Bought this TV at Costco. It was about $85 under Amazon's price, with free delivery too.

I bought this TV at Costco for $499 on 5/17/2012 and couldn't be happier. The picture is beautiful! The built-in apps are very cool. I can stream Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant videos in High Definition over the WiFi without any buffering or stuttering. It has 802.11n, so if you have an 802.11n wireless router, you don't need to run an Ethernet cable to this TV. When I use the built in wireless network test feature, I consistently get over 5 Mbps, which is good-to-go for high-def streaming. My router is about 50 feet away from the TV. I like that the remote has dedicated buttons to launch Netflix and Amazon videos. I also like that while using the internet apps, I can enable closed captioning, play, pause, rewind, etc. by using the remote buttons. Picture needed no adjustments... was fantastic right out of the box. I highly recommend this TV.

I bought this TV on Sunday and had it wall mounted using the VideoSecu Ultra Slim TV mount (available on Amazon). I recommend using a ultra slim wall mount ...it will do justice to your super thin LED.
Pros:
1) TV looks gorgeous both (On & Off)
2) Light weight I was able to hang it myself ..(I'm not recommending it)
3) Magic Motion remote is excellent.
4) LG smartphone app is excellent when you want to search using your phone's keypad.
5) Picture quality is crisp & excellent. (I'm using the the default settings, with auto adjustment turned OFF)
6) Good quality speakers for a LED this thin.
7) Smart sharing and DNLA works like a breeze outta box.
8) Simple and Intuitive GUI
9) 3D is way way better than you can imagine. It's passive 3D (no painful flickering glasses) but in 1080p resolution. Unbelievable!!!
Cons:
1) Keypad not available to search Youtube Videos using the LG smartphone app.
2) No Pandora APP installed or available in LG App market (Really LG how can you leave out Pandora!!!!). Marantz receiver has it so it saved the day for me.
I bought this TV as a replacement for my Samsung UN46ES8000. Samsung was my initial choice after comparing with LG & Sony at Best buy, but in 4 days my Samsung had connectivity and tint issues. Gave it back to best buy and bought the LG from Amazon as Best Buy didn't carry this newer dual core model.
In the end, I'm a happy LG customer. Life's Good Indeed :)

This is one of the best picture quality TV's I have seen. It may SAY 720p, but it rrenders 1080p. Check LG website Model # 42PM4700. TRUST ME. Plasma is GREAT. My father has a 55" LCD Philips. He also had to buy a dongle for it (wireless) Pshh! MY TV came with everything. AND Amazon installed it for free. Why do I say free?? Got this TV for A little over $600. My dads TV was way more than that. I won't tell him (I'll wait till he sees it himself) But my TV blows his out the water. it came with the wifi dongle. has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB. Plus 2 components, Digital out, computer hook up, bla bla bla. One charges my 3D glasses and the other for wifi. 1 hooks up to my Laptop and will play sound through it. the other is hooked up to my PS3 and the other is not yet used. This TV has SO many features. That's why they call it SMART. The ONLY problem I have with this TV is that it will only pick up 3 DTV channels. Antenna or not. With my DTV box i pick up 10 alone. IDK what the prob is what it doesn't really matter to me. I don't even watch TV. all i do is stream Netflix, play through my Laptop and Ps3. I am SO satisfied. seriously you NEED to buy this TV. Buy the official glasses that go with it. they work flawlessly!!!
Ok, 3D? Great!! will make ANYTHING 3D and the depth is good. Especially if the game or show is in 3d (duhh...) Makes my PS3 all worth it. and it has many options for 3D as well.
Sound is LOUD. but not buzzing loud. Good quality! not much bass but I have a subwoofer for that ;-)
Overall 8.5 AGAIN the TV should say 1080p because it DOES view.

NO AUDIO ON ARRIVAL (through the L/R audio inputs). AND NO PHONE TECH SUPPORT to speak of. Person who answered the phone (Manuel) at VIZIO says, "There is no way to connect an audio input to this TV" and refuses to put a person who knows what he or she is talking about on the phone -- or knows what ~I~ am talking about. TV is going back in the box.
UPDATE: Turns out that the audio input doesn't work without plugging in the video input, which I hadn't connected yet. Too bad the VIZIO "rep" didn't know this and tell me.
Picture quality: Pretty good, almost as good as the hi-def, HDMI picture. The 19" Samsung is going back!

Wow! I am simply blown away with this HIGH EFFICIENCY LED-LCD 3D HDTV. It has 240 hz 24p for very smooth playback of fast sports action.
Cloud apps:
Amazon Video on Demand (and PRIME!), Netflix, Hulu+, Youtube, etc all came prinstalled on the HDTV. Additional apps (free and paid) are available with activation of a (free) cloud storage account. This makes the number of apps allowed limitless! We have watched videos on all the above, very smooth! No hiccups, no streaming issues, no waiting for videos to load, no issues. I activated our wifi on the slower 802.11g channel to test the tv's handling of a slower channel. I'm expecting flawless operation on our 24 mhz 802.11n channel connection. Our ISP/home network is a rock steady 30 mbps connection with multiple wireless video streaming devices - again no issues with bandwidth or video loading with this combination.
High Efficiency: the energy label indicates $15 / year cost to operate; well beyond the lowest end of the scale. Ladies, if you are planning a tv for the bedroom and are concerned with hot flashes, this is your tv! We have left ours running a full 24 hours, yet we still cannot feel any extra heat anywhere around this model.

All in all I would give this 3D HDTV 10 stars. It is simply an amazing cutting edge HDTV ahead of it's time. We own two of the high tech, wifi, internet apps, high efficiency Philips 46" 1080p 240 mhz 24p LCD HDTVs which are only 15 months old... even without the 3D aspect the technology upgrade of this Panasonic is absolutely remarkable.
As of writing this review our 3D HDTV has been installed just 24 hours, however we are so impressed we wanted to get this review posted ASAP. This review will be updated as we have more experience with this model; stay tuned!
PS our 3D glasses and a 3D blu-ray video are on order... again, stay tuned!
